A hut must be smaller than a Warhammer Fantasy house.
We would like to try new techniques to do a wall. The hut gave to us the perfect excuse to try.
Fisr we cut four foam board pieces of 60x55x5 mm and 110x55x5 mm. Besides we cut a rectangle in one of the big pieces. The door will be fit on it.
Then we cut a balsa wooden strips of 55x5x5 mm. We use a metal brush to rough down the wood.
Scenery looks much real when we rough down the wood.
Finally we glue all foam boards and balsa wood carton. We wait until the was dry.
.
We use clay and wood to do the walls
We cut new balsa wood strips and use the metal brush on them.
We put Das clay and a bit of glue over the foam board. We had a irregular surface, so was perfect. We put a balsa wood strip over the clay and push until the clay had a mark of the strip.
We take off clay under the mark and then we placed a balsa wooden strip.
Before the clay was dry we use a toothbrust to add some texture in the walls.
With all walls done, our hut looked good. We put all walls together and checked joins.
We add a small window in a wall. Our figures can´t fire through in 1650 A capa y espada and Mordheim (Empire in flames) because the windows was so high, but you can hide inside.
We cut a wooden piece to do the door. We use again a metal brush and with a knife we draw strip lines.
And this is the result of our work.
We are really happy with our hut for Warhammer Fantasy, Mordheim (Empire in flames) and 1650 A capa y espada. Although we never think about to do a hut before, we going to follow working on it and finish.
Do you have any idea for the roof?
