Leman Russ Annihilator from the Imperial Guard

Some time ago we started one of those projects that every commander from the Imperial Guard owns. But at the time of playing Warhammer 40.000 isn’t the most versatile thing, the image of the battleship company is always pleasing to see, or your opponent one, including tanks. Starting to prepare the Imperial Armour III The Taros Campaign also boosted the vehicles.

This tank pushed us in a lot of aspests: it would start this way the Imperial Guard 2.0 Force; we would go in the airbrush world; we investigated about the wears and discovered the pigments and their respective usage.

Since then we’ve wanted to improve a lot and always thought of repainting it, but if you really want to put a battleship Company to Emperor’s hand, you have to keep going.

Keep going and not come back continuously to miniatures we can improve make us do a reprospective about our progress. In our case there’s a before and an after if we compare this Leman Russ Annhilator from the Imperial Guard to Valkyria from the Elysians we collect for Taros Campaign.

Lastly, we wanted to say you finally appreciate them as they are after so many brawls. A veteran tank wouldn’t be the same without the battle bruises that certify it as a real veteran.

At the start we tried to Paint it following a scheme similar to German Panzer that was used in the last moments from the II World War. But the immersion on Taros Campaign made us think that, if we adapted it to the desertic weather, we could use it. That’s why we used pigments and even if it wasn’t initially painted for this enviroment, we think it has ended up being well built into it.

As you can see in the pictures, we didn’t choose to present the Leman Russ Annihilator in a meticulous way, like if he just got out of the montage line. We wanted to transmit that the crew members have got ridden of extracting brightness to the armor-plating while there are still enemies to take down, reforcing the dirt and war feelings,

What do you think?
